I want people to feel hope. No matter where you come from, your past does not define your future. I grew up in poverty, surrounded by addiction, violence, and instability, but education, books, and access to information changed the direction of my life. Today, I lead, I write, and I serve my community because someone once believed in me. When you visit this page, I want you to feel that you are not alone, that you are seen, especially if you carry invisible scars. Resilience isn't about pretending everything is fine; it's about choosing to heal, grow, and break cycles with courage. More than anything, I want you to leave inspired to believe in your own potential and know that your story, just like mine, can become a source of strength, purpose, and change.

Quiero que las personas sientan esperanza. No importa de dónde vengas, tu pasado no define tu futuro. Yo crecí en la pobreza, rodeada de adicción, violencia e inestabilidad, pero la educación, los libros y el acceso a la información cambiaron el rumbo de mi vida. Hoy lidero, escribo y sirvo a mi comunidad porque alguien una vez creyó en mí. Cuando visites esta página, quiero que sientas que no estás solo, que eres visto, especialmente si cargas cicatrices invisibles. La resiliencia no se trata de fingir que todo está bien; se trata de elegir sanar, crecer y romper ciclos con valentía. Más que nada, quiero que te vayas inspirado a creer en tu propio potencial y a saber que tu historia, al igual que la mía, puede convertirse en una fuente de fortaleza, propósito y cambio.
Breaking cycles through education
If there's one thing to remember about my journey, it's that education and truth can break generational cycles. My book isn't just a painful story; it's a declaration: 'this stops with me.' Born into poverty, addiction, silence, and dysfunction, I chose books, school, awareness. I chose to confront what happened instead of burying it, changing my family's trajectory.

Si hay algo que quiero que recuerdes de mi camino, es que la educación y la verdad pueden romper ciclos generacionales. Mi libro no es solo una historia dolorosa; es una declaración: “esto se acaba conmigo”. Nací en medio de la pobreza, la adicción, el silencio y la disfunción, pero elegí los libros, la escuela y la conciencia. Elegí confrontar lo que me pasó en lugar de enterrarlo, y así cambiar la trayectoria de mi familia.
Una niña de un caserío en Puerto Rico usó la educación como su escape, su escudo y su plataforma, transformando cicatrices en liderazgo. No para demostrar nada, ni para atacar a nadie, sino para sanar, para darle lenguaje a quienes no lo tienen y para mostrar que sobrevivir no es el final: transformar sí lo es. Mi libro no trata sobre el trauma; trata de negarse a que el trauma tenga la última palabra.
