A journey of hope and transformation
I want people to feel hope. No matter where you come from, your past does not define your future. I grew up in poverty, surrounded by addiction, violence, and instability, but education, books, and access to information changed the direction of my life. Today, I lead, I write, and I serve my community because someone once believed in me.
When you visit this page, I want you to feel that you are not alone, that you are seen, especially if you carry invisible scars. Resilience isn't about pretending everything is fine; it's about choosing to heal, grow, and break cycles with courage. More than anything, I want you to leave inspired to believe in your own potential and know that your story, just like mine, can become a source of strength, purpose, and change.

Breaking cycles through education
If there's one thing to remember about my journey, it's that education and truth can break generational cycles. My book isn't just a painful story; it's a declaration: 'this stops with me.' Born into poverty, addiction, silence, and dysfunction, I chose books, school, awareness. I chose to confront what happened instead of burying it, changing my family's trajectory.
A girl from a caserío in Puerto Rico used education as her escape, her shield, and her platform, turning scars into leadership. Not to prove anything, not to attack anyone, but to heal, to give language to the voiceless, and to show that surviving is not the end — transforming is. My book is not about trauma; it's about refusing to let trauma have the final word.

My story, your inspiration
After reading about me, I hope you feel curious and motivated to go deeper. Explore my book, my videos, and my reflections, not just to learn about my story, but to find pieces of your own within it. My biggest hope is that you take the next step toward your own healing, growth, and transformation. If that means reading my book, watching a talk, or following my work, it's because something in my journey spoke to you.
I also hope you share the message with someone who may need it. Many of us carry invisible scars, and sometimes one story can open the door for another person to find courage, seek help, or believe in their future again.

From caserío to community leader
My path from a caserío in Puerto Rico to a library manager in Oregon is a testament to the transformative power of education and resilience. This website, like my book 'Entre Letras y Cicatrices', is a platform to share the journey of overcoming sexual abuse, teenage pregnancy, migration, and discrimination.
It's about finding hope and purpose, turning invisible scars into a source of strength and leadership. Join me in believing that every story holds the potential for change.
